Drawn like a moth to a fire....
This triptych work explores the dialogue of attraction and repulsion between the artist and a beautiful model.
In the center piece, there are a grid of photos of the very attractive woman posing. She is joined by the artist who moves beside her, occasionally touching her. He is drawn to her beauty like a moth to a flame. The photo has been partially burned by fire. In the left photo, she is the bright flame. In the right, he is the dark moth. Short phrases from the model and the artist are superimposed over both of them that reveal their experiences of attraction.
